The weather was changeable this evening: rain, downpour, sun, and rainbow…
While I drove home, I saw rainbow. The sun was shining, and it was raining at the same time.
Later the sky cleared, the rain stopped, and road became nearly dry…
The fields and trees were flooded by the bright and warm sunlight. And there were dark clouds above them.
The road turned one more time, and here I was — in downpour again. It rained heavily in Lomonosov.
Everyone writes about snow, and I will write too.
It was snowing today. In the morning it just rained, later it started to snow. When I came to the office, snow flakes were falling slowly:
And now the sun is shining.
It’s rather chilly, −3°C, yet sunny morning. The Church of the Epiphany “shines” brightly in the sun although it’s partly hidden in scaffolding. It looks gloomily when it’s cloudy.
I already showed this photo in this blog, yet I have one more reason to do so.
The thing is this photo is now in the pool of Project Weather group. Photos from this group are used to showcase weather conditions in Yahoo Weather app.
Admins wrote me a message at Flickr with an invitation to add this photo to the group. Moderation process took several months and now this photo is in the group pool. Hence users of Yahoo Weather could see this photo by day in cloudy weather, if they’re nearby.
This photo is not original: just a fallen yellow leaf of maple on still green grass — what could be more trite? Yet it reflects that autumn comes into its own. Leaves on trees are becoming yellow and falling. Grass on fields is dried-up, and forest in distance became multicolored, the quantity of green reduces gradually.
The sky is more often cloudy, and sometimes it pours all day long…
That day was sunny, but it was very cold at the same time. And here’s this yellow leaf as a symbol of autumn. Dew drops are seen on the leaf after a colder night, and shaking blades of grass cast “dancing” shadows.
This is how Kellermann Center looks from its parking area. Actually it’s a building in its courtyard.
For an unknown reason, recently this photo has become the most viewed one from my photostream at Flickr.

Summer is a vacation time, and people seem to search for sea, beach, wave, and Greece…
By the way, I am in Greece according to many location service :)) I wish I were there.
I took this photo last year when we were at Crete.
